Project #3 Experimental Clock

G's water clock!
I usually don't drink enough water. Sometimes, I don't drink a single glass of water in a day. Unlike my promise to drink water,
I keep forgetting it. For me, this watch recommends at least three glasses of water a day—one in the morning,
one in the afternoon, and once before bed.
The three arcs resemble an image of a water vortex, and the bar of the arc tells the time.
I set the clock to say three different greetings depending on the time using 'else' and 'if'.
Sketches
I drew multiple ideas of the 'experimental clock.' The first idea sketch is the one that I created.
The second one is the abstract color clock. I wanted to create a clock that I cannot recognize the exact time. Sometimes, I felt like time is running out, and it makes me nervous, especially when the deadline is coming. If the time like 11:11:11, my clock will show the whole red square or either circle.
I got an idea from the constellation for the third one.
For the last sketch on the screen, I also wanted to create the cliché flower clock, which is too obvious but fun.
I chose the first one because the purpose of the clock was appropriate for this project, and if it works,
it might help me realize how much water I don't drink.
*Fun fact; I got shingles yesterday(21st, Sep)
due to my low immune system and lack of sleep & water.
My reflection
So far, this project is my favorite. It was practical and worked for my real life even though the design is quite simple.
I got really impressed by the simple example which professor Xin uploaded on Slack. It reminds me of one of my favorite
artists 'Ryoji Ikeda.' He inspires me whenever it comes to how the black and white color impact design in a simple way,
like it represents a binary system. So I would like to create a very complex but simple design in the future using p5.js
like what I did in the past for the Ryoji.
